An Update?

We finally got a chance to update!

We've offically got the nursery finished. It took us 6 long months, but we've finally got it up and going. Current status: Just Add Baby. The bed is made, the nipples are boiled, the clothes are washed, and the pictures are hung.

Stay tuned for pictures of this bee-yootiful baby area, as our digital camera isn't working quite yet and we have to wait for Cassie's mom to lend us hers.

A Niece, How Nice!

 

Esperanza Lynn Castillo was born to Valerie Lynn Robbins-Castillo and Roger Castillo on July 15th, 2003. "Esperanza" means "Hope" in Spanish.

Cousin to Jayden and niece to Michael and Cassie (our first!) she weighed in at 8 pounds 8 ounces, 21 inches long!

At her last doctor's visit, she was closer to 10 pounds. This picture was taken two days after she was born.

Plans are already being made for matching outfits and picture sessions between the two cousins, who already have a friendly rivalry. In the hospital, just hours after Esperanza's birth, she was being held (nervously) by her proud Aunt Cassie. As Aunt Cassie realized how heavy babies are, she rested little Esperanza on the bulge of her stomach, and Esperanza was promptly kicked by her in-utero cousin.
